Welcome to Spider Lake!
Spider Lake is valued for more than its beautiful views, clear waters, thriving natural habitat, and its wonderful recreational activities. For many of us, it represents numerous unforgettable memories with family and friends. Our neighborhood is quiet and the lake is scenic, offeringis opportunities for lake lovers of all types, including water recreationalists, nature observers, fisherman, and more. From watching the loons raise their chicks, fishing in the many coves, boating and paddling around the lake, watching our resident deer raise their young (and munch on our plants), tubing, water skiing, winter hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling on the frozen lake, to star gazing and northern lights, Spider Lake is a gem we are all very proud to live on.
Since 1996, the volunteers and members who comprise the Spider Lake Property Owners Association have contributed their time, talents, and financial resources to protect and preserve this priceless treasure for current and future generations.
Our protection and preservation activities include water quality monitoring, education on lake and lakeshore protection, boating safety, fishing, invasive species, and many other topics. While other lakes in the area battle with Eurasian watermilfoil (EWM), the most invasive aquatic plant in North America, Spider Lake is currently fortunate to not have EWM. Education on boat cleaning and constant monitoring are critical to keeping are lake free from this invasion.
