How to Report Road Issues & Camp Greilick Update

Our Annual Meeting on July 12th provided neighbors with the opportunity to connect, share thoughts and ideas, and consider ways in which we all can contribute to the stewardship of our lake and its shorelines. It was time well spent, and many topics were presented.

How to contact the Road Commission

One topic was the condition of our roads and how we can work together to alert the Road Commission of needed repairs.

Here’s how - The Grand Traverse County Road Commission’s website has a “Citizen Problem Reporter” tool

  • Pinpoint location of issue on map

  • Provide address and brief description

Every submission matters in “COLLECTIVE ACTION”

Camp Greilick Update

Another topic was the draft of the “Operations and Management Plan” for Camp Greilick.

Please go to Grand Traverse County’s Camp Greilick website. Scroll all the way down through the prior updates to the end for the latest plan, DRAFT Camp Greilick Operations and Management Plan 7-10-25, and read it!

It holds information about how the park will operate and provides much detail.

Upcoming study session— The Parks and Recreation Commission will hold a study session on July 24 at 5:30 PM. This is a public meeting, and all stakeholders are invited to attend. Details can be accessed by clicking here.

Stay tuned as this project unfolds, becomes part of the “Site Plan Review Application” and goes on to our township, perhaps in September.
